MedEZ Releases Cost Reporting Module (Beta)
Davie, FL – April 23, 2009 – MedEZ, a leading provider of medical and behavioral health management software, today announces the release of its MedEZ™ Cost Reporting Module. At the end of March 2009, the module was made available to existing clients in limited distribution for beta testing. “The Cost Reporting feature had been a long time request of our inpatient and outpatient behavioral and rehab clients”, acknowledged Thedy Brezault, President/CEO of MedEZ. “Our goal was to fully automate and monitor all billing transactions from beginning to end”.
To develop the module MedEZ worked with an advisory board consisting of CPAs, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health providers and medical billing specialists to identify a series of tasks that need to be completed before a medical claim can be eligible for write off. According to Darla Perry CPA, PERRY & COMPANY CPA'S APC, “Incorporating a cost report module supporting schedule documentation is definitely a plus for CMHC billing software”. The MedEZ Cost Reporting feature gathers existing data to help monitor and control several different steps thus adding check-points that help facilities account for all services and providing compliance with the cost reporting guidelines prescribed by Medicare. In addition, the module provides detail and summary reports for each task and ultimately provides all the information needed to prepare the cost reporting.
